Danielle, I'm so sorry that you have COVID. I'm also sorry that your family members, like so many, simply don't understand or care about the risks for their immunocompromised loved ones. The holidays can bring out the worst in people.

I also relate to the idea of not wanting to give up on a family member (or even friend) in the midst of some sort of disagreement. It took a lot of me wasting my limited resources (because I have chronic health issues myself), and a major revelation that came out in an argument, for me to finally walk away from my mother.

I'm now estranged from pretty much my entire remaining family members, and it's hard on a normal day, but so much harder this time of year.

I'm sending support, and best wishes for a quick recovery.
