I feel like a vampire. Or President Snow. My gums and teeth are becoming a seemingly semi-permanent, stained pinkish red. It’s not pretty.

But I can no longer drink plain water. Water hits my stomach in a way that reminds me of jumping into a cold pool for the first time. I feel it going down my esophagus and into my gut. It’s a bizarre and unpleasant sensation. But hydration is critical so I subsist on…
