The problem is that the FDA is notorious for approving drugs that have the same problem. I don’t disagree at ALL that the supplement industry desperately needs some kind of oversight and regulation, but the FDA doesn’t do a good enough job protecting consumers as it is… so I don’t know what the answer is, but I certainly don’t trust the FDA to manage it. Not when you consider the shady shit they do already with things like medical devices, or the way drugs are approved despite warnings/concerns about safety, and only pulled from the market later when they’ve caused countless health issues and/or deaths.
