This is overall such a well written, thoughtful, careful letter... but this really rubbed me the wrong way when I read it. It stigmatizes these foods in a way that isn't helpful, particularly for those with eating disorders (like myself). It says something is inherently "wrong" with these foods or wrong with someone for enjoying these foods, and it reinforces the idea that every fat person must eat only this type of food, or that eating these types of food will automatically make you fat.

That's problematic because that leads one down the road of there's something terribly wrong with being fat, and I don't think that is at all the message you're trying to convey here. If you want to talk about eliminating ALL food advertising, that's one thing (though obviously entirely unrealistic). But to single out a specific type of food, one associated - whether right or wrong - with those of us in fatter bodies, that sends a message I don't think helps us at all.
